school of licensure
The Jurisdictional Department of Women is empowered to examine and appoint eligible women for credential license within the jurisdiction, once they have completed the prescribed course of study; The Standardized Curriculum from the International Department of Women, successfully passed the examinations, cleared a background check, and taken a sexual misconduct training course as required by the international church. Jurisdictional pastors may recommend candidates for licensure after having observed them in the local church for at least two years, focused on the candidate’s area of attendance, support and ministry in the church. These
candidates should be of the utmost Christian character.
The candidates must commit to the mandate of comprehensive study of the school of license curriculum, and attendance in class sessions. There will be a written and oral examination following, which each candidate must successfully pass to receive a deaconess or evangelist missionary license. Pastors will submit a Letter of Recommendation to the Jurisdictional Supervisor or Department of Women executive secretary by the designated date, detailing the criteria for recommendation. Pastors and candidates will complete and sign the appropriate Recommendation Requirement Checklist, National Application For Licensure, and Metropolitan Registration Form. These forms are attached in this resource section of the website; along with a letter of detailed information to pastors and sample of pastor recommendation letter. It is our pleasure to welcome any qualified candidate to the California Southern Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Department of Women School of Licensure.
